Hey,

I have the automatic excerpt disabled in the theme options, and use the “more” button to generate my excerpts on my posts. While this works for the most part, I noticed that on excerpts that are over 55 characters, the “more” button is overridden by the theme’s default excerpt length of 55 characters. Is there any way to fully deactivate the automatic excerpts, or can I only make excerpts under 55 characters?

Hi,
You can make excerpts over 55 characters as well. If it is not working, then deactivate all your plugin and update the theme and try it again.
