Good day, how can I add galleries in every department? So that I could categories all the pictures of different events.

Hi robertojr,

-Create parent departments. They will be your different portfolio pages. And create sub departments for your parent departments. These will be your portfolio filters.
-Go to Appearance > Menus. Open the Departments box from the Screen Options panel.
-Add your parent departments to your menu. These are portfolio pages.
-Add new portfolio items to your sub departments.

Thank you Serkan, you solved a part of my problem too. My page is much simpler. I just want the Department-Page (Portfolio) and when i click on a department, all the pics should be visible. At the moment, I click on a Department and it shows me again a department. How to i solve this? The page with this problem is http://caneve.org/portfolio/

Hi onemadpanda,
You created sub departments for your parent departments. Can you try disabling all of your plugins and read the documentation > Portfolio side. You can find out what you are missing easily :)

Go to Portfolio —> Departments… and set each Parent of your Departments to NONE. This will solve your problem…

Thank you both for your fast respond!
I just have parents, so the settings are “none” already. As robertojr explained, i did it already this way. That is why i don’t understand the connection between my galleryview and the explanation.

Go to Portfolio and edit one.
On the right panel, there is a Department tab..just check the Department (which does not have a parent..Do not check the sub-department (which has a parent).
