How to use the “Custom CSS” codes we provided in WordPress forums?

    The New Way:

Since WordPress 4.7, users can now add custom CSS directly from WordPress admin. This is super-easy and you would be able to see your changes with a live preview instantly. Copy and paste the css code to “WP Admin > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS” field. That’s it.

    The Old Way:

    – Simply copy the code and then paste it to “Appearance > Theme Options > Style > Custom CSS” field in WordPress admin.

    – That’s all.

For newer themes it is located under “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”.

The Custom CSS field allows you to customize the appearance of your theme without the need to create a child theme or worry about theme updates overwriting your customizations.
