2) If I create a custom menu nothing happens when I click on it. Right now for testing I have “CONTACT 2” set up as a custom menu item and “RESUME 2” set up as a page. When I click CONTACT 2 nothing happens and when I click RESUME 2 it brings me to a separate page with no navigation bar to go to the other pages.
I want my site to look just like the demo with the navigation bar on each page. The nice swoosh movement to each one would be nice as well, but that is less important.
I have done that..but when I do that it adds all of the widgets to the same page and is a giant overlapping mess..but as the picture shows, I have assigned them to their respective pages.
How do you add pictures to this thread? I will show you or if you go to dylanverburgt.com you will see the overlapping issue
Ok thank you that helps but the navigation menu is still overlapping the content of the page. Also when I click on one of the nav tabs it takes me to another page instead of just sliding over and there is no navigation to get back to the previous page…
Also the content on those pages is slightly different than in the video. For example, on the contact page, the “drop me a ling” is beneath the map, not to the right of it. The same for the resume page.
You need to create a custom navigation menu with custom linking menu items for your pages. Please double check the “Menu” section in the theme documentation.
Example:
#/about-me
#/resume
#/portfolio
#/contact
