Hello, my page is http://www.metrochenta.com
I’m trying to make my portfolio page with the followin scheme:

in the menu:”trabajos”(works)>-home staging
(with thumnail image)>-house1(with thumnail image)>(gallery)
-house2(with thumnail image)>(gallery)

-interiorismo
(with thumnail image)>-proyect1(with thumnail image)>(gallery)
-proyect2(with thumnail image)>(gallery)

until now I managed to make it till “home staging” and “interiorismo”, but I dont know how to do the subclasification of house1, house2…the same way with thumbnail images.

I have make two portfolios (“home staging” and “interiorismo”), and I have selected “Portfolio” template for the page from Page Attributes box in the editing screen of the page “trabajos”.

I have make departments of the diferents subclasification, but I dont know what to do now

In other posts you say to do all with departments, but how to make the clasification with thumbnails if i dont use portfolio?

I just want the same of the sample of the photographer theme, or the same of this http://www.jaggedlens.ca/portfolio/

I have readed other posts and the photographer documentation but I’m really lost (sorry for my english I hope I explained well).

Sorry, It doesn’t look good the scheme.It is:
trabajos:
-home staging: house1>gallery, house2>gallery…
-interiorismo: proyect1>gallery, proyect2>gallery…

Please clear your url
http://metrochenta.com/index.php/
Don’t use index php file name.
Create parent departments. They will be your different portfolio pages. And create sub departments for your parent departments. These will be your portfolio filters.

Go to Appearance > Menus. Open the Departments box from the Screen Options panel.

Add your parent departments to your menu. These are portfolio pages.

Add new portfolio items to your sub departments.

Sorry but I still dont understand …. how can I clear my url of “index.php” file name? I don´t find how to do it.

Go to settings > Permalinks and choose default and save it.
Then change it to post name and save and check it again.

Thanks, done the change of the url index.php, now is clear.

I don’t understand why the links I sent you with the catches don’t work, anyway, you can see them (the catches of my wordpress editor of the departments section and menu section) at the alternate with salider gallery, on the homepage.

Please, can you tell me what to do now to continue doing my multiple portfolio?

Have you read the documentation section yet? I would recommend you to import dummy data for portfolio and you can easily edit it.

Hello Serkan,
yes, I’ve read the documentation and I’ve done it:

Add new portfolio items to your departments. (I don’t know how)

I have the dummy data imported to the library on media, waiting to put them into the departments.

Have you seen the catches I told you before? Have I done it well?

Hi carmenbelmonte,
When you create a new portfolio item, next to content editor you can see the department box. You just need to point them which department.

Parent1
Parent2
Parent3

x
y
z

x department is subdepartment of Parent1 so when you create the x item you shold check the Parent1 box on the right hand side. Okay =)
