How can I edit the text of the Contact page so I can replace the default text (“Please feel free to contact me about anything.”) with a customized message?
When I click on “Edit this page,” the text field of the WP editing tool is blank. What am I missing?
(Obviously, I’m a newbie at this. Thanks in advance for your patience and assistance.)
Hi, contact page is custom page template. And, that message is a translatable text. You can convert it to any of your words. Please check the localization chapter in your theme’s documentation.

I did everything explained in the documentation. I only need to change one piece of text in the original English text in the Contact 7 form: “Please feel free to contact me about anything.” So I don’t need to translate into a different language. I edited the text in English UK and English US in the Localization tool but nothing happened. I can see the new (edited) text in the screen of the tool and I generated the mo-file, but no result.
You can change that text with localization also in your language. If something went wrong on your side, then change it manually:
– go to Appearance > Editor > page-contact.php
– find:
<?php echo __( 'Please feel free to contact me about anything.', 'read' ); ?>

Hello, I cannot seem to find: Appearance > Editor > page-contact.php
Specifically how do I get to this?
Also, is there a way to remove or add a field on the contact form?

Is this because my site is on WordPress.org (on go daddy)? and NOT a wordpress.com site?If so, is there any other way I can update the contact form text and fields???
