instalation of the new update didnt work

    I was trying to install update  for CV Card theme but install didn’t work.  Message was

     

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    I downloaded “Installable WordPress fie only” and tried to install zip file i

    Didn’t work for me either. I did the update via FTP following the instructions in the Documentation file and had to try uploading a couple of times. Finally, after a successful transfer, when I went to my site I saw this:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/57/12156657/html/wp-content/themes/cvcard/functions.php on line 1049

    I went back, deleted it and re-uploaded my back up theme folder and the site reloaded fine.

    Hi, please try the updating way via WordPress admin. Check out the section:

    Documentation > Installation > How To Update The Theme > Update Your Theme via WordPress.

    Where? Am I looking in the wrong place?
    That is all I have about installation in my Documentation.

    install theme

    The theme is under “Theme” folder.

    Go to: Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload.

    Install and activate.

    Please download the latest package from ThemeForest. You will see the new sections in the theme documentation.
