how to update the theme?

    Hi I have almost done with my website, I like the theme very much!
    But there are some small bugs also.
    So I wonder do you have a newest version of it?
    And how to update the theme?
    Well I did a lot of change of this theme, in addition I added lots of content to the site.
    If I updated the theme version, do I need to rebuild all the changes (custom css)?

    Hi, you can check the changelog from themeforest page of the theme, and you can find updating instructions under installation section in the theme documentation. Your all settings and content in your database.

    I just did that, but when I activated the updated theme, my website was totally in a mess. everything is going, and the only page left is very weird.

    I did not do anything except just uploading the updated version. Previously I did lots of change and custom css to the older version. Is that a reason? Do I need to upload the sample data and do all the edits as in the instruction?

    sorry for the wrong typing, I meant almost all the things on the page are gone. Maybe that is relevant to the changes I did for the theme or the css?
    do I need to make all the settings after just using the new theme folder?

    hmm.. was she suppose to export her data to an xml and use the importer to bring it back in?

    NOTE: I do not have this problem, but i am interested in a solution to this particular problem for future reference.

    It is weird, but you didn’t loss anything. Just put your widgets to the correct place and check custom nav menu location.
