Create Sidebar in Theme Options

    Hello,

I am trying to set up a separate sidebar for my posts. One that is different from the home sidebar. I see there is an setting in the theme options called “sidebar”. But I’m not sure how to use it and the documentation doesn’t mention it. Could someone help me create a new sidebar to use for only my single posts? Different from the others?

I’ve tried using this tutorial with no luck – http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-use-custom-sidebars-on-posts-and-pages–wp-25142

Hi, that’s a nice idea. I will have that in mind for a next update. Thanks.

Note: You can use new sidebars from theme options with the Page with Sidebar template.

    Hi,

I would like to use a sidebar separate from the default Blog one for individual pages. Can you elaborate on where to find the screenshotted options above? (i.e. the one for “Page Sidebar”) Not finding it anywhere in the theme’s customization options.

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Hi Erik,
When you go to Appearance > Widgets > You can see three sidebar variations
    Blog, Post and Page Sidebar.
You can set up for each and when you editing the page, you can set the sidebar variations on the right side.
    Thanks
