Hello,
Great theme! :)
But the Facebook share button you guys installed has a small glitch. It “takes” the wrong image – that means that not the image of the article, but an image from a “You May Also Like” article.
So this is how it looks on facebook share:
The title of the link is right, but the image isn’t.
The correct image is here, as you can see, with the same article title:
But instead Facebook is taking this photo:
Can you fix this from the core of the theme or do I need to install that plugin that corrects the Facebook image (I’m using it on a different theme). :)
TNX!
Hello,
I’ve got the same problem.
i think it’s a sharer problem or definition of the {url} which has to be shared.
twitter and Facebook doesn’t work..

Hi,
@Arielu: You need to activate the “Open Graph Protocol” from theme options > seo.
@masterchi3f: I’m working to find a solution for that.Thanks
Hello Mehmet,
do you have any workaround for that issue?
Would be great to have a solution for that.
Thank you very much in advance.
kind regards
I will make some tests on this issue and try to realize what causes the problem. I let you know when I come up with a solution. Thanks for your patience.
Hi..Kind of similar issue here as well..When we share http://www.iwif.in on FaceBook, the desccription part comes like [gallery columns=”9″ link=”none”. We have enabled OG under SEO tab and tried some of the plugins you have suggested in some other post. You shall get more info a https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ ..Kindly help us..Thanks and Regards..
Hello everybody,
I’m really in the need to know how get it work..
only the whole portfolio had been shared by using the share button on twitter and Facebook..
Any hints or help is welcome.
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi all, as the issues appeared more about the open graph functionality built-in the theme, we suggest you to deactivate the “Open Graph Protocol” from “theme options > seo” and use a powerful open graph / seo plugin instead;
Hello Ahmetsali,
did you test it?
I can’t get it to work properly..
did you try any plugin as i mentioned in my previous post;
“deactivate the “Open Graph Protocol” from “theme options > seo” and use a powerful open graph / seo plugin instead;
yes, i tried those plugins you mentioned and deactivated the internal open graph protocol of the theme.
further my shared link is as before just the whole gallery, not the image itself.
is there any update from photo swipe?
thank you very much for your support.
kind regards
i see the issue about when sharing a gallery url on Facebook; the description part comes like [gallery columns=”9″, but it has been fixed after i disabled “Open Graph Protocol” from “theme options > seo” but facebook caches the url so you may not see the changes immediately, you may try changing the post slug that will change the url of your gallery to see the effect immediately. And about facebook not showing all images from the gallery, i think this is a facebook related thing, because all the images are there in the html code, i guess facebook gets only a limited amount of images by default. If you want to control which image to be shown on facebook, i guess you can achieve this with a plugin, a plugin that lets you choose which image should be shown for each page/post manually.
Thank you.
That’s not the problem i mentioned.
I’m talking about sharing an image within the gallery. one single image viewed inside the photoswipe. sharing with the share button on the top right. not the whole gallery.
I’m missing the direct URL to the photoswipe image not the gallery. the gallery has been shared instead of the image.
thank you for your effort and time.
it should be working : sharing a single image in photoswipe with the share button on the top right;
– i just checked it on our demo site and it seems to be working fine;
http://themes.pixelwars.org/photographer/portfolio/outdoor/
– can you try deactivating all of your plugins
– update your theme to the latest and check again.
if it still doesn’t work for you please provide your related page url.
