Hi!i’ m new to wordpress and i bought this theme because it looks so clean and simple. Great work :)
I’ m starting a very simple photography site and i wanted to work only with pages and media in every page. I may not need nested menus or create a portfolio. To start i created my pages and i uploaded the media that i want to see on every page. What i see now on the preview is one picture under the other and i was wondering how is possible to see my picture using a left/right (next/previous) button and not one above/underneath the other. Hope you ‘ll understand my question..Thanks a lot
Hi @dreamdropsphoto;
You should hit the create media button and then go to create gallery, upload or choose your gallery and then you will see Columns in the next step. Choose how many columns you want and then click the insert gallery button. You can choose photo gallery 2 from the details box which is located in the right sidebar. That is it :D You can read the documentation for more information.
Good luck.Thank you for getting back to me. Actually i did all the steps but my problem is that i see my pictures scrolling down the page and i would like a left/right scroll. For example if i have 1 or 2 or 3 columns i see the other ones underneath (scrolling down my page). Is there a way i can have (1 column for example) and then click a right button in order to see the next picture. Maybe i can help you if i tell you that i like very much the home page 2 as an example?
one more thing. I can not see any change on my display if i choose 1 ore more columns. I see always 2 columns.
Hi @dreamdropsphoto;
Vertical scrolling gallery is not possible in this theme but you can use slider shortcodes instead of it.[slider items=”3″ loop=”true” center=”false” mouse_drag=”true” nav=”true” dots=”true” autoplay=”false” speed=”600″ timeout=”2000″][slide title=”” image=””][slide title=”” image=””][slide title=”” image=””][slide title=”” image=””][slide title=”” image=””][/slider]
Please deactivated all your plugin and try it again. If it doesn’t work, please provide me your related url.
ThanksNow i have my slider but i keep seeing many rows of pictures. I would like to have only one row and then click the slider to see the next ones. Sorry for asking too much :( but i’m new to this.. here is my url

and you can see the maternity//indoor section as an example.Thank you so much
Hi @dreamdropsphoto;
Change the [slider items=”3″ to [slider items=”1″ and i gave you [slide title=”” image=””] shortcode. You should put your images url there.. Don’t create a gallery for your pictures.
For example;
[slider items=”1″ loop=”true” center=”false” mouse_drag=”true” nav=”true” dots=”true” autoplay=”false” speed=”600″ timeout=”2000″][slide title=”” image=”http://dreamdropsphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/LIvia-7-600×400.jpg”%5D%5Bslide title=”” image=”http://dreamdropsphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/LIvia-4-600×400.jpg”%5D%5Bslide title=”” image=”http://dreamdropsphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/LIvia-53-600×400.jpg”%5D%5B/slider%5DA little bit difficult to handle (for me) but it works!!!!thank you so much!!!!
At this point can i ask you how is it possible to define also the size of my pictures?right now they are to big
Hi @dreamdropsphoto;
You can use this custom css code;.owl-carousel { max-width: 900px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; }Thanks
This is great!thank you so much!now it looks great!
last question..i was searching through the blog in order to reduce the spaces between menu/header and header/pictures but every code that i tried doesn’t work. Am i missing something?
Hi @dreamdropsphoto;
You can use this custom css code;.site-header .site-logo { margin-bottom: 0em; }Thanks
Thanks once again!
