Home page with static page

    Hello everybody
    Even if I’ve a deep knowledge of another cms I’m absolutely new in WP so sorry for this silly question (and for the future ones)
    I need an home page with just an article so I think that a static page should be the right option.
    I’ve chosen on reading option static page –> my new page but I still see on homepage a list of article.
    I think that I’ve to change somethin else somewhere but… what? where?

    (nice theme anyway. It’s lightweight and fast)

    Settings > reading > show at most: 1
