Hello,
First of all: thanks for your theme ! very good work !
Id like to have my homepage like in the model featured under the name (home landing with slideshow).
my website: http://www.fabiancohenphotography.com
I know now how to feature a single image but i am clueless on how to proceed so as to have a slideshow? Could you assist me?
I wish to select 4 or 5 pictures from the library (rather than having a random selection among all of those placed in it)
Thanks for your assistance !
solved
Not solved totally…
when uploading online, I see now the pictures are not displayed as it should… it is a bit zoomed..
What is the exact size to which i have to crop my images before adding them to the gallery so that they fit the screen rather than letting the system zoom in it..
Hope i am clear :)
Hello Serkan,
My aim here is to have a background slideshow image that covers the entire browser window at all times.
The images here are all cropped (or zoomed).
Is there a ratio (WxH) I could use when formatting the image before adding them to the media gallery that would allow these to be presented full size without being cropped?I found this doc but I am clueless… though it seems to provide some relevant info for what I wish to do
Hi Fabcoh1981,
We recommend you to upload 1920 x 1280 px image dimension. It is responsive design but WordPress is resizing to protect the aspect ratio. But it is not disturbing issue.
ThanksI just reformatted the picture to 1920 x 1280 px.
I changed it to template with single image.
Still, i am missing a lot in height… if you see the picture feet of the child are cropped… !it should appear like this: http://www.fabiancohenphotography.com/portfolio/children#&gid=1&pid=2
Hi, background images are centered by your screen, if you prepare your images in 1920×1080 or in 16:9 aspect ratio, your image will be cut of less.
Dear Serkan. I have setup a homepage alternate with slider containing 5 pictures. Can I create a link from one of these pictures to a page or portfolio? So if I click on photo 1, I want to go to “Portrait”. If I click on photo 2, I want to go to “Macro”, and so on. Is that possible?
Thanks for your help.Hi, sorry it is not available by default and it requires more time and effort to customization, if you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert at envato studio.
