I have received a message about an available update for my theme.
How to install it carefully in order not to clear my settings of the theme?
After the first installation I changed the font size, added some plugins, changed some preferences.
Could you please help me to install it without the loss of hand-made changes?Hi berelkovsky
You need to deactivate your theme in the “Appearance > Themes” section by simply activating a different theme. Once you activate a different theme, you can delete your theme. Don’t worry, your content will not be lost.
Then simply upload the new theme file in the “Appearance > Themes” section.
Once it uploads, choose to activate the theme.

Will my font sizes and preferences be saved after update? (I have changed the standard font sizes and preferences before)

Your custom css boxed will be protected. So if you have custom css codes for fonts size, you won’t loose them. If the edit the theme files then you will loose your custom work. I guess you just used custom css codes.
