With the sample posts provided with TheBlogger … on the Home Page the post are summarized with the photo, title, part of post wording and a “READ MORE” box icon to click through to the story.
When I created a couple Test Posts this “READ MORE” is not there … was this not an auto feature or do I need to do something more to have this “READ MORE” visible on all future post??
Hi, Please go to Appearance > Customize > Blog > Automatic Excerpt ( Only for standard formats )
If this setting is chosen for you, the only standard format will get summarize. I would recommend you to check that setting. Also deactivate all your plugin and try it again, please.
ThanksThanks … tried this did not seem to work … but then I noticed the test blog posts I created only had a short sentence in compared the the others!! Added a few paragraphs and what do you know … works fine!!! :-)
You can decrease the excerpt length so you can also get read more text for the short paragraph.
