Background color changes when scrolling

    Hello, Serkan,

In some browsers the background color changes on my Resume page after you scroll down. I don’t see it in Safari when I have the page loaded, but I do see the problem when I’m using the Customizer in WordPress.

Could you please help? Thank you.

    Hi,
If it is just happening in the customizer, it is not a big deal. I just checked your related url with firefox, chrome and safari and didn’t see the issue.
    Thanks

Actually, several of my test users have told me that it is happening for them, both in Firefox and Chrome on PCs. I’m not sure what versions they are working with, but out of the 10 or so people who told me they checked it out, at least three of them said the problem occurred on their computers.

Also, as 2 separate issues, the Send button on the contact form doesn’t work. And I’d like to figure out how to make the home page photo centered when on the mobile version. Should I start a new thread for that?

    Hi,
    1) If you tell me the browsers version, I can also test it again. I do not think it’s a big deal, but if there’s anything we can do, we’ll figure it out.
    2) Your host may have disabled the mail() function. It must be enabled on your server. Please contact your hosting company.
    3) For the responsive design, it is always showing in the middle of the page. You can edit your image and put yourself in the middle of the image.

    Thanks

Now my static home page has disappeared and many of the portfolio items are not working. Please help

The portfolio items seem to have returned fine, but the home page is still missing. It appears in the Dashboard as being the first one on the custom menu, and in the customizer it says it should be there. But it lands on the About page, and the home button does not appear in the right side bar.

Before it disappeared, I made the smallest of changes to the text on the home page, but I don’t see why that would have made it vanish. Should I start another thread?

    Hi,
Could you please check the widgets > empthy template page ? Did you delete the widget by mistake ?
Also deactivate all your plugin and try it again ? If you still have the issue, provide me your login details via our contact form and add this topic url as well ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I couldn’t login your account because the password wasn’t correct. Also, please update the theme to the latest version.
    Thanks

I managed to get the homepage to reappear, but the icon is still missing from the menu. I will send a fresh set of login info through the contact form so you can check the color change on the Resume page, which is still incorrect on Chrome, Firefox and iPad.

If we can get the color to stay, and the icon back on the Home part of the menu, then I can stop bothering you. Thanks again for the help.

    Hi,
You had two homepages and I deleted one of them. It looks okay now. And also you are using an old version of the theme. Please update the theme. Wp super cache plugin maybe conflict with the theme. I didn’t see any issue on resume page. It might be solved when you update the theme.
    Thanks

Thank you for helping with the home page, but I can’t seem to find how to update the theme. When I go to Appearance>Theme or Theme options, there is no update available.

I updated the theme again and deactivated every single plugin, and I still have all the same problems, plus one more again.

    New problem:

    – Now everything has disappeared from my article portfolio pages. Photo slideshows are fine, but the article pages are all blank. Everything is still in the files in the dashboard. If this is just a coaching issue, please tell me how to resolve.

    Still unresolved:

    1) The background color is still changes to black on the resume page when I use my iPad, and I still have users complaining about that. You can also see an example if you go to the Customizer and click the resume page.

    2) The email form does not work when you click on it. I changed it to my personal email address as a test, and still when you click, nothing happens.

    Hi Albert,
Could you send me your wp admin details via our contact form and add this topic url as well ?
    Thanks

Sending them now. FYI, I stopped getting notifications that you’re replied to the thread, which is why I am just now responding.

Also, in the meantime, I tried creating new Article portfolio pages as a test, and neither text nor pictures show up.

The media in the portfolio pages has now miraculously reappeared, though I no idea why. But the email send button is still broken even when using an active gmail account, and the background color in the resume page still changes when scrolling on iPad and various versions of different browsers. I sent admin log in info yesterday via the contact form. Thank you.

    Hi Albert,
I did a lot of testing on the web site and I did not see any black color. The use of hashtag is required for this theme to work. If you are trying to open the resume page without this hashtag, javascript will not work. I also tested it on the iPad and it did not matter. Could you specifically tell me browser and version names?
I would like you to contact your host company. You can contact them to enable the mail function or just use the ninja form plugin.

I am about to resend admin log in information through the contact form since I figure you will probably ask for it.

The email service has long been activated. It’s not a problem with the email and I can send and receive emails from that address with no problem. So it should have worked with the built-in contact form all along. Despite that fact, I installed the Ninja Form plugin. I have the short code in the contact page, and when I preview it from Dashboard, the correct form appears. But if I go to the site directly, then click on Contact from the homepage menu, it still goes to a page with an old form that does not work. I know that it has something to do with the hashtag you talked about, and in fact it looks like every problem has to do with this hashtag problem.

Can you please explain clearly what I need to do with the hasthags for every page to work? I searched in the permalink section, but there is nothing that makes sense. Do I need to manually change the permalink on every page? Should every link be like this: http://albertstumm/#/resume
I tried changing the permalink on the contact page to include the hashtag, but it automatically reverted to not having the hashtag.

Please do not use the admin panel simultaneously with me.

    Hi, this seems like a server related issue, can you contact your server people and ask about this issue by saying;

    “I have a contact form on my website, which posts form content to other php page with ajax, despite of this function works on other servers, on my site it throws 500 Internal Server Error message;

POST http://albertstumm.com/wp-content/themes/empathy/send-mail.php 500 (Internal Server Error)”

Uh, ok. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I’ll start a chat with them. Should I just paste their response here? I’m not going to know at all what their answer means

Hi Albert, we’ve solved the parts that are related to us. The problem on the Resume page occurred from a mark that you mistakenly wiped out. I corrected this problem. After that, you will not see that color complex. Nothing to do with Hashtag. You don’t need to change the Permalinks. The theme will automatically add it. There is not any problem now. I have set up a ninja form as an alternative to you and made some edits on the style. I think it will work for you. I logged out the Admin panel. You can continue using it. I am sure that host company will solve the issue which is related to them with an understandable language. Just wait their answer until the resolve it.
    Thanks

Besides, the email form is not the only problem. What is the deal with the hashtags in the URL? Do I need it in every URL? If so, why am I getting different versions of the same page depending on how I access that page?

Hi, this is the way the theme works, nothing to do about it. Don’t edit the permalinks. The theme will add it automatically. When you give a URL, you can give it with hashtag like you see on the browser.
    Example;
    http://albertstumm.com/#/about-me
    Thanks

It looks like we crossed messages. Thank you! Portfolio works and the color has now been corrected. Thank you.

But there’s still a weird thing. I see a scroll bar on the form depending on where I click to the contact page. And if I click on Contact from the home page, the old form appears.

And do I still have to deal with the problem that ahmetsali posted? The form seems to work fine now, if I can get to the right one. And my hosting company just got back to me saying email forms are out of their realm

    Hi,
This link is accessed via the menu. Only you can see the other.
    http://albertstumm.com/#/contact
The url I share is the ninja form plugin. Does this structure bother you? The visual is equivalent to our structure. I solved the scrollbar problem before. If you still see it, I recommend you do a hard reload. Clear the caches in the browser.

The portfolio items have disappeared again! Everything was fine, and then starting yesterday all the images and text are now gone again from the article pages:

    http://albertstumm.com/#/portfolio/portfolio/lunch-cruise-on-switzerlands-lake-lucerne-even-in-winter/

    http://albertstumm.com/#/portfolio/portfolio/guyana/

I didn’t even make any changes since the ones with the email form. Why does this keep happening, and how do I prevent it in the future?

I’m resending admin log-in info through the contact form.
