Latest posts on a Static Page

    Is there any way to get the latest posts on a static home page without having to select “your latest posts” for home page?  I want it to look like the latest posts page, but on a static page.

    Sorry if my question is confusing. I will try to better explain. If I want to use the template “homepage” for my static page, what coding would I add to the “homepage” template to get the excerpt information to show up along with the title of the most recent posts? (This would make it look more like the landing page of your demo on Themeforest).
