How to delate category alias

    Hey,
    when I create category (eg. Himalayas it goes to URL and its ok but I wish to delete word “category” from that url

    mydomainname.com/category/himalayas/name-of-my-post

    I wish to have
    mydomainname.com/himalayas/name-of-my-post

    Hi, Please go to settings > permalinks > add this parameter to custom structure area;
    /%category%/%postname%/

    I did what you said but word “category” before tittle of category still exist. Its shown when I click specific category or TAG.

    I think to solve this I need to set up Alias category and Alias Tag, under custom structure area. I put them into circle https://prnt.sc/isnv1o

    It loks like this when I go into some specific category: domain/alias category / tittle of category

    How can I make / alias category/ disappear from URL (also the same for TAGS)
