i’m trying to figure out what’s wrong with how the logo is being shown at

looks like there is much space between the logo and the navigation below.
the logo is 300×241 original.
what do you suggest to make the gap smaller.
in theme options, image logo, whenever i tried to upload it and save it to replace what was previously there it didn’t seem to work. i tried to figure out which settings but managed to do it in the end,
how should the image be uploaded.
image height i set as 175
what should be done to make the distance between logo at top and navigation a bit smaller with the space so it is not too much space.
