I’m creating a custom home page and would like to use the grid layout (with circle images) of recent posts. For the life of me I can’t find how to include this. How can I add this widget to my custom page?
Hi,
Would you like to use blog circle homepage or home alternate page with the latest from the blog widget?
If it is blog circle then you need to choose blog circle layout from customizer but if you would like to use the latest from the blog widget for your custom page, then edit your custom page and choose latest posts template under the page attribute box on the right hand side of the page.
ThanksI’m trying to create a custom page that appears elsewhere in the site, but need to include the blog circle layout. I can’t see how to include that on a custom page anywhere. I’ve selected the template of “Latest Posts” as you suggested, but I don’t see where I can change the display style of that. I’m stuck with a single column of posts with day-of-the-month on the left (mouse over to get the featured image) and the title on the right. How can I change this?
Hi,
Could you provide me your related url, please?
ThanksThis is happening on http://aroundtheworldwithshadygays.com/
Hi, I think there’s a misunderstanding situation here. The Latest from the blog widget appears smoothly at the homepage. This is the same as the style demo site. Blog circle style applies to normal blog flow. For this, you can enter the theme customizer and change the style from the blog stream.
I think my question has been pretty clear. I want the circle style to appear on the home page, not the list. The list itself is also incorrect; it’s skipping the first two blog posts.
If I go into the Customizer->Blog section, everything is set to grid.
Is there some short code or something I can use to insert the latest posts?
Thank you for your help, but I’m becoming very frustrated with this product.
Hi, you can not change the list style of the latest from the blog widget to the circle style by default. If you would like to use the circle blog style then you can go to appearance > customize > blog > choose blog circles style and save it.
Latest from the blog widget is designed for the home alternate.

ThanksAgain, this is really frustrating. While I appreciate the responses, I feel that you’re not taking the time to read my question and the responses you’re giving lack clarity.
I want to use the list of latest posts on both the home page and the blog page. I want the lists to be visually different: circles on the home page, masonry grid on the blog page. I’m encountering the following issues:
1) The list of latest posts on the home page is not customizable. I am stuck with a list that I don’t like the look of. When purchasing this, I understood that these lists were customizable. You now (after almost a week of back and forth) are telling me that they’re not.
2) The list of latest posts on the home page is omitting the first two blog posts. So my most recent posts don’t appear on the home page at all.
Other questions:
3) Can I just include the latest list via a shortcode?
4) Is there any other way to get this page to display in the way I was led to believe that it could be displayed?Thank you
Hi, I do not understand why you are so worried, but I also read what you wrote before. We have not previously mentioned that the latest post widget on the homepage alternate is customizable. The style on the blog page can be customized as you like. Latest post widget does not come with shortcode. As I mentioned above, you have to choose it from the page attribute.
The most up-to-date articles in the blog are displaying at the top. If the posts are set to sticky, you can set them via the theme customizer, which you will hide or show. You can go to appearance > customize > blog > sticky posts > include or exclude
If you want to have circle type blog page, use blog page. The latest posts will display at the top of the blog page.
ThanksAgain, I don’t want the circles on the blog page. I want to customize the way they look on the home page. The default list isn’t one that I like.
Hi, this is not available by default, needs more further customizations, if you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert at wpkraken.io to do the job for you.
