Hi,
I do not seem to be able to get the ‘Social Media Icons’ widget to work. I have tried adding it to Footer 1-4, it doesn’t show up.
I tried removing the Footer Subscribe & Footer Instagram widgets to make sure it’s not overlapping. But no.
I drag the ‘ (TheBlogger) Social Media Icon ‘ widget to Footer 1 (tried Footer 2-4 as well), fill out the Title & URL and click save. Refresh the page and it’s not there.
My site is not published yet as I would like to make sure it looks perfect before I launch it.
Any advice you can give that could help resolve this, please?
Thank you.
Hi,
I just tested on our demo website and it works perfectly. Can you be sure that the blogger shortcode plugin is activated? You can send me your wp-admin details via our contact form and add this topic url as well. We can have a look what is the problem. Also, don’t forget to deactivate all your third-party plugins and try it again.
ThanksI do not have a Blogger Shortcode plugin. I saw the reference to it in the documentation but wasn’t sure if that was required.
Could you please send me the download link? It’s not in the package I received when I purchased the Blogger theme.
Thank you.
Please disregard the previous message. I have found the plugin within the package I downloaded when I purchased the theme and have installed it.
And yes, now the social media icons are showing up as they should.
Is it possible to modify the alignment of these icons (would prefer to center them).
Thank you very much.
Hi,
You can use this custom css code;.footer-widgets .col-lg-3 { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; }Thanks
Hi,
Thank you. However, the code didn’t help center them.
I am trying to use a total of 3 social widgets and tried placing them in Footer 1 to 4 and they’re never centered. In Footer 2 they’re too much to the left, Footer 3, they are too much to the right.
When I add the ccs code you shared, it places the 3 a little bit more to the right but not centered at all. This is what they look like placed in Footer 3 with the custom CCS code added:
Any other ideas?
Thanks again.
Hi, As you can see in the photo, the footer consists of 4 parts. You added social icons to footer 3. It appears to be centered in part 3. Either you have to customize the footer or you need to add another widget to the 2nd footer widget.
I can see the custom css code centered the widget.
Thanks
