Hi, I love this theme with the cooked plugin, but I just got into a major setback.
In order to show recipes on the home page I need to embed the cooked shortcode in a post. As this can cause duplicate content SEO issues with the recipe itself, I set the cp_recipe post type as noindex in Yoast SEO.
This is fine. However, the [cooked browse] function, which is great, returns the recipes post types (which are not indexed in Google), and not the blog post types with the recipe (which are indexed, and would be ideal).
That means people will be commenting in the recipes that they find in [cooked browse] and also in the posts (because they will find them in Google). This is not good.
So I think that the solution could be to make it possible to call cp_recipes in the blog section, but I am not very tech-savy. Or instead, to make the [cooked browse] function return posts with the recipe shortcode.
Is there any fix for this issue so I can work only with recipes or blog posts? I read the related topics in support but couldn’t find the solution. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Could you check this related topic, please?

ThanksYes, I checked it but it seems that there is no answer from the plugin creator. Is there any update on that?
I also contacted them, but their answer was not satisfactory. Basically they said that I can either:
A)
1. Disable public recipes by checking the box on the Recipes > Settings screen near the bottom.
2. Embed the recipes in my posts.
3. Visitors find recipes by browsing/searching through my posts.OR
B)
1. Keep the recipes public.
2. Do not embed the recipes within posts.
3. Allow visitors to browse/search recipes using the [cooked-browse] shortcode. However, both A) and B) have flaws:
A- In this case, their [cooked-browse] function will be disabled. And this is a shame, because it is great and a main functionality of any recipe web.
B- In this case, I will not be able to show the recipes on the homepage (as latests posts, etc).
Serkan, is there any way to be able to show recipes (cp_recipes post type) in the blog section? That would make option B useful.
Thanks
Yes, it would be great to be able to make the [cooked browse] function return posts with the recipe shortcode.
Following the topic.
My idea so far is to, except setting up cp_recipe post type as noindex in Yoast SEO, to disable comments in Recipes and add a link to the full post. Something like “Read the full post here. It’s not perfect though.
Yes, however in my case the cp_recipe post type has exactly the same content as the posts with the recipe shortcode, so that link wouldn’t add much value.
If Serkan comes to a way to show cp_recipes in the blog section, that would be great. Otherwise I will have to close comments on both cp_recipes and posts, and make the recipe canonical to post with Yoast SEO.
Hello Serkan, i posted a question last night, could you be able to help me out please? it`,s about top slider and categories… thank you
Hi,
I will discuss this topic with our developers and I will keep you updated as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience.Hi, unfortunately, this is not available by default in the Cooked plugin, you may request this feature from the plugin author and if more users request the same feature I believe the plugin author may consider providing a solution for this.

Thanks.
I suspect this may also not be possible, but… is there an option to disable recipe pages from coming up when somebody uses the search in the website? When as a user I search a website eg. for “vegan pasta” – I will see the blog post and the recipe page.
You can use relevanssi plugin to solve the duplicate search results issue, please check out this post for more;
