it seems like some widgets in elementor do not work due to the theme’s click routing. in detail: when adding drop-down elements they do not work on the page itself.
here is a screenshot (elementor – site): https://imgur.com/a/DIqDmeA
if you circumvent the theme it works! so it’s due to the “#” routing
the same issue now happens with the portfolio! items are not clickable…what’s going on? it used to work but once elementor is involved it all breaks?
Hi,
# in the url is mandatory for ajax page layout to work. sub page’s content is fetched via ajax, so any element which requires extra javascript to work (such as entrance animations) won’t work on your homepage, sorry but there is nothing we can do about it because of the limitation of the ajax fetched page nature.ok, but this should have been made clear from the start. it is very confusing.
why use (enforce the use) of elementor if many dynamic widgets do not work?
this is sadly very unfortunate since i need those elements. if i place them in the gutenberg editor, they get overwritten by elementor and are not visible.but what about the portfolio? it must work there since it has nothing to do with any javascript, just the theme?
Hi,
I will forward this topic to our developer and i will keep you updated asap.
Thanks for your understanding.ok thank you. but the portfolio must work, it did before. just stopped after i fiddled around with categories. if loaded separately not via the theme it works (direct URL without the #)
at the moment the website is unusable due to this unfortunately.
Hi,
I just changed your portfolio slug to portfolio and it is working well again.
ThanksHi, I just checked the pages on your homepage but I can’t see any portfolio page, can you provide the related url please?
after the slug has been changed it works again. portfolio is hidden though at the moment. only remaining problem is that all dynamic elementor widgets that require javascript do not work due ti the “#” syntax. e.g. toggle element or accordion.
Hi, There is nothing we can do about it because of the limitation of the ajax fetched page nature.
Ok, a few issues…I could not figure out the portfolio AT ALL.
I have the same issue as another about the extra page. In fact if I go to the browser bar back and delete the “/#”, to the permalink slug as expected, the page opens and looks differently….as designed. For instance, my image on the about page does not show until I go to the version without the extra page.
I saw the reply of that being an AJAX thing. Well, that should be told upfront….the whole concept of wordpress and easy clicks and its a headache to not know why that is happening,Also, I made several pages using a gallery from elementor. The gallery does not appear. On some pages and some browsers it will appear if I remove the extra page in the web address.
Seems like ajaz and elementor are on different paths/planes.
Fix please.
H @triplenickel
Could you please provide me your related URL?
Thanks
