The site was started in July 2019 and suddenly we receive this error and cannot login to WP nor access the site:
Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement or after any declare call in the script in /home/******/public_html/wp-includes/sodium_compat/lib/sodium_compat.php on line 2
Is this a theme related issue and what is the solution if it is? Thanks for any help you can give.

I would recommend you to contact your hosting company and get some help.
Please keep me updated when you get a solution from hosting company.
ThanksHi Serkan. Thanks for the quick reply. Not technically inclined here and my webhost suggested I hire a programmer to fix this issue. From what I gather from this page you sent me to this could be a php issue which is something they should fix. If so, I’d love to be able to copy what you send me to send to them. Thanks for any additional help you can give me :-)
