In a recent SEO audit it’s been brought to my attention that all of my blog posts have a double H1 title and first is H1 of the page is my blog name not the title of the actual post. I have tried to edit the post title both in the WP editor and it is not possible to change it. As well all the other headings are coming down very messy. I can send you a screenshot, it is really a hot MESS. I can’t find a setting in the ‘Customise’ menu to set ALL post titles as H1. Is there a way to do correct this please?
Hi, I see your point, recipe posts are custom posts and they are different from regular posts, they appear on the recipes page when published;

the only way to add recipes to regular blog stream is to create a new post and add the recipe shortcode you want to show, this is how Cooked plugin works. We have also reviewed other recipe plugins they are not so user-friendly like Cooked plugin and they work in a similar way(adding shortcodes to regular posts).
You can fix the duplicate content issue by navigating to Wp Admin > Recipes > Settings > and check the “Disable Public Recipes” option.
Have a nice day!
This is how I have been doing all this time by adding the short code to the blog post.
It is duplicates the H1 and indexes the name of my blog as the first H1 which is horrible for CEOIs disabling public recipes wouldn’t mean that people won’t be able to see them?
Hello
I tried disabling public recipes and now when users click on the recipe button on my menu it takes them to the empty pageCan you advise what to do in this situation?
Hi @victoriasiro
I will forward this topic to our developer and I will keep you updated.
ThanksHi, there are two H1 tags, one for site title in “header” section element and the other for page title inside “article” section element, using multiple H1 tags are totally ok for SEO when used in HTML5 section elements.

Hello
I appreciate your reply
Based on the website audit from Ryte this problem is an issue
I can send you the list of the issues that was flagged and duplicated H1 is on the top of the list
Is there a way to solve it?Hi, It is also confirmed by Google that having multiple h1 tags on the same page is totally fine as long as they are semantically structured as we have done in the theme. You can ignore that warning from Ryte and just trust Google’s word with this.
