I’m struggling to install the bookcard theme on to my domain.
I have enabled word press, however when I go to Appearance > Themes >Install Themes, choose the zip file ‘bookcard-v3-4’, uploading progress reaches 100% and the following WordPress Failure Notice error message occurs:
Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.
I have no trouble uploading other wordpress themes onto this domain so it seems that it is an isolated problem with the Bookcard theme.
Can you please advise how I can successfully install this theme on to my domain?

I am having the exact same issue. Other themes have been uploaded without a problem. I tried both uploading it through wordpress as the zip or also alternatively uploading just the theme folder straight via an ftp. If I do that I get the files up into my wordpress but the bookcard theme simply doesn’t show as an option in the themes section.
What can we do?

I am following the install instructions; permalink settings set to “post name,” read settings to “your post here.” Should be a simple matter of uploading the bookcard-v3-4.zip to install. I dumped the original download, downloaded a new file, but get the same result. My host is Dreamhost, and I’m trying to install this theme to a subdomain with a fresh and latest WordPress installed.
How do I resolve this? I really love the theme and want it to work.

It’s been over a week now since I posted this query. I’d love some support from the theme author.
SOLVED – I’ve been able to get around the issue by uploading through FTP client FileZilla.

I uploaded using FTP. That was going to be my fallback option. I had hoped that the developer would respond to our issue, but noticing that you’ve waited over a week for a reply convinced me to go ahead and do it this way. I don’t like importing themes to WP using FTP because it can alter permissions and break the theme (it has happened before). I’ve activated the theme now, and it appears to be working fine.
Anyone else in future who has this problem should follow procedure using FTP upload. Also, the developer should look into to this and fix or, at least, give a timely response to this issue.
