Hello,
I’d like to get my posts looking like they used to and not sure where to change that inside settings anymore.
Here’s a link to how I’d like it to look from an older version of Readme:
https://web.archive.org/web/20150406061813/http://themes.pixelwars.org/readme-wp/a-story-about-knowing-the-value-of-simplicityIt’d be nice to have my posts display like the above but with a sidebar.
I’d also really like to get the shortcode for this box if possible to add to my sidebar and at the end of each post: https://puu.sh/JvjpX/bd46ed6356.png
How would I do this?
Thanks for your help!
Hi,
Please go to appearance > customize > blog > blog type > you can choose the regular type for the blog posts. Also you can activate the sidebar here.
There are a lot of customization if you would like to add the Mailchimp plugin to the theme.
ThanksWhen I go to Appearance > Customize it takes me to this:

Hi,
Please go to appearance > theme options > blog > blog type >
If you cannot make it, please provide me your wp admin details via our private content box, below.
ThanksHi again Serkan,
The setting you mentioned is for how the BLOG page looks, not how the actual Posts look.
All my posts currently look like this:
https://puu.sh/JwEKX/0450f57639.pngand I want them to look like this as they did in an older version of Readme:
https://puu.sh/JwEL2/2d38025e60.pngAs you can see in the current version, it seems there’s always a featured-image placeholder (black box) behind the headline information (title, date, comments, author, read time).
In the older version however, the featured image defaulted to displaying below the information. When you create a post in the current theme, I can’t even find the option for selecting a featured image at all, let alone removing the black placeholder.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
Could you please provide me your wp admin details via our private content box below?
ThanksHi, WordPress does not allow this with the new version. We need to put a feature image. When you look at our demo site, the design you screenshot is not visible.
You can edit the post and add a featured image. This is recommended for seo.
ThanksWith all due respect, I highly doubt a featured image is required and I’m confident some minor CSS adjustments could make the blog show the way it used to.
Secondly, your sales material on Themeforest still shows the exact way I want my posts to look on the front page multiple times.
Lastly, please remove my domain from your message and respect my privacy.
Is there a better way to reach support than publicly?
Thanks.
Hi,
I just added a menu item for your blog posts. You can see it next to your home button in your website.
It looks regular layout with sidebar. I guess you want to achieve it.
ThanksAgain, all my posts currently look like this:
https://puu.sh/JwEKX/0450f57639.pngand I want them to look like this as they did previously in Readme:
https://puu.sh/JwEL2/2d38025e60.pngWordpress does not force you to use a slider at the top and neither should you.
Hi,
This is your website.
Can you share the related part of our demo website? So we can compare it.
ThanksI don’t understand what you’re asking?
What I can show you is an image directly from your sales page for Readme:
Also, as I politely asked before, please quit publicly posting my web domain.
Hi,
Could you please check your website?url removed
When you check it, I will remove the url from public.
ThanksYou are welcome :) We’d be very happy if you can spare a minute to rate the theme on ThemeForest. Your feedback will boost our motivation and help us to work harder on future updates.
