I have 399 subscribers (authors) in my site now after trying to get the demo content in. The import failed. I used the WordPress > Run Importer since there is no such thing as a “Demo Importer”, at least not that I can find or download. Not sure how old all this instruction is.
You instructions read:
Method 1:
Go to Appearance > Install Theme Plugins page. Install and activate recomended plugins one by one.
Go to Appearance > Import Theme Demos page, and import a demo.Method 2:
Go to Appearance > Install Theme Plugins page. Install and activate recomended plugins one by one.
Go to Tools > Import page…….Neither of these are available within WP. My host a2hosting.com installed the wordpress site, so it isn’t an install issue. I’m not sure why I don’t have what you explain here.
I could do this from the server side, FTP, but didn’t see instructions on that.
I’m not sure what to do with this at this point. I’m hoping there is some support here or this was a huge waste… Not in $100, but my time.

First you need to install the theme. I assume you have done this step. Then there is a one click demo import plugin in the plugin file. When you activate it, you will be able to upload demo content. At this stage, you will be told which plugins you need to install and activate.
