logo in SVG not shown

I want to change the logo in the header section, to our business logo in SVG format. I have uploaded our logo in SVG. When I choose it as the image logo under Website Identity in the Customize settings, it doesn’t show. The website title disappears as it should, but our logo doesn’t show.

This should be a simple and easy change. Purchased this theme not long ago and now I’m going to work a lot with the new site. This was the first thing I tried to change and already an issue. Why doesn’t the logo show?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Friendly regards,
    Kenn

    Hi, can you try after activating this plugin and try to import your svg logo again;

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-svg/

    Thanks

    Hi,

I just installed and activated the “Safe SVG” plugin and uploaded the svg logo again to the media library. Still not showing.

Have never experienced this before. The plugin “SVG support” plugin was installed after installing the Airz theme (followed your documentation when I installed the theme): https://docs.pixelwars.org/airz.php

I deactivated and deleted the plugin “SVG support” before I installed and activated the “Safe SVG” plugin and uploaded the svg logo again.

I would really love this issue to be solved. This should be an easy thing to change, but for some reason the logo is not shown. Again, I just installed the theme and followed your instructions from the documentation and changing the logo was the first thing I tried to do.

Please help me solve this ASAP.

    Hi Kenn,

Thank you for the update and for testing both plugins. Since the logo still isn’t showing, let’s go through a couple of checks together:

Direct file check: After uploading the SVG, please try opening it directly from the Media Library (“View” link) to confirm the file displays correctly in the browser.

Cache / Customizer refresh: Clear the browser cache and refresh the Customizer preview after setting the logo. Sometimes the preview doesn’t update immediately.

Code snippet option: In some WordPress installations, SVGs need an extra allowance to be rendered correctly in the header. If the above steps don’t work, I can provide you with a small code snippet that enables proper SVG rendering for logos.

If you prefer, you can also grant me temporary access so I can test this directly on your setup and make sure your SVG logo displays as intended.

    Best regards,
    Serkan

    Hi Serkan,

    1. Direct file check: I have open it directly from the Media Library and can confirm that the logo is showing correctly in the broswer: https://dev.vestvarme.no/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/vesteralen-varmepumper-logo.svg

    2. Cache / Customizer refresh: I installed the plugin “WP Super Cache” to clear the browser cache. I refreshed the Customizer preview after setting the logo. The SVG logo is still not showing.

    3. Code snippet option: Please provide me with a small code snippet that enables proper SVG rendering for logos. Remember to tell me where to place it.

I have no problem to grant you temporary access to the site, so you can test these things directly.

    Friendly regards,

Hi, it was related to your svg file structure, I re-saved it using:

    https://editor.method.ac/

and upload it again to your site and now it is shown on your header.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

    Thanks!

What do you mean, when you say it was related to my file structure? Did I export the SVG file in a wrong way in some way? I’m asking because I need to make a “negative version” too (where the logo is only white), and want to know what changes you made when you re-saved it using: https://editor.method.ac/.

Hi Kenn, thanks for following up.

What I meant by “file structure” is that the way the SVG was originally exported included some extra data and attributes that weren’t strictly necessary, and that caused issues when rendering it. When I re-saved it with Method Draw
, it essentially cleaned up the file — removed redundant code, optimized the paths, and ensured a proper SVG structure.

So you didn’t really do anything “wrong,” but depending on the tool used for export, SVGs can sometimes include extra markup that creates problems. For your negative (white) version, you can safely create it the same way, and if needed, re-save it through the editor again to make sure the file stays clean and optimized.

    Hi again,

Thank you so much for your help and information about what triggered the issue. I have just made a negative version of the logo i SVG and uploaded it to the website, and the logo is shown perfectly.

    Friendly regards,

You are welcome :) We’d be delighted if you could spare a minute to rate the theme on ThemeForest. Your feedback will boost our motivation and help us to work harder on future updates.
