I am using the Amelia plugin included with the EFOR theme. When I try to add a new coupon from the Amelia interface, I get an error. The browser console shows the following message:
Thank you for the detailed explanation and for sharing the console error — that’s very helpful. A 500 (Internal Server Error) usually means there’s a conflict or misconfiguration on the server side. Here are the steps I recommend to resolve this:
Check plugin/theme conflicts
Temporarily disable other plugins (except Amelia and required theme plugins) to see if the coupon creation works. If it does, re-enable plugins one by one to identify the conflict.
Update everything
Make sure WordPress, the Efor theme, and the Amelia plugin are all updated to their latest versions. Sometimes the bundled plugin in a theme lags behind the newest release.
Increase PHP resources
A 500 error can also occur if the server runs out of resources. Ask your host (or check in cPanel) to increase:
PHP memory limit (e.g., 1024M or more)
Max execution time (e.g., 300 seconds)
Check error logs
Go to WP Admin → Tools → Site Health → Info → Logs or check your hosting control panel for the PHP error log. The log will usually give the exact cause.
Reinstall Amelia
If nothing else works, try deleting and reinstalling the Amelia plugin (don’t worry, your appointments and settings are stored in the database).
👉 If you’d like, I can guide you step-by-step to enable debugging so we can see the exact error message behind that 500 response. That will make it faster to pinpoint the cause.
Best regards,
Serkan
