Hi there, the back to blog button you see in the sidebar when viewing a blog post is not actually linking back to the blog . Instead, it’s linking back to the page I’m viewing in a recursive loop.
Can you please tell me where to fix this issue?
Thanks
KG
Hi,
Could you deactivate all your plugin and try it again please?yep. Didn’t work
can someone please look into this and get back to me? It’s been almost a full day with no response
Hi karengeier,
Please go to settings > Permalinks > Common Settings and choose default and save it. Again settings > Permalinks > Common Settings and choose post name and save it. And check your website again.this didn’t work either.
Hi karengeier,
I want to check one more step. Could you check another settings please?Go to Settings > Reading > Choose Front page: Home and Posts page: Blog
Hi, that’s not the default page I want to show up. I have that page set to Home.
There is nothing in the documentation that says I can’t do it this way, and your own demo shows a home page first set up
Please advise how to proceed.
Hi,
I think that you misunderstood. I mean you should create a page and set is as a blog. You don’t have to chance front page if you don’t want it and it is not related to your issue.
Settings > Reading > Choose Posts page: BlogRight, I have created a page called HOME and set it as the blog. I have set up the BLOG page under posts page just now and it messes up a few things. Namely, back to blog now puts you out to an infinite scroll page of chronological blog posts, and there is no home button on the left nav and also the left nav is missing other pages.
I do not want it to look or behave like this, and the demo does not look or behave like this. I left this change up for you to see.
Please advise further
Hi,
When you click to ” back to blog” will put you out to an infinite scroll page of chronological blog posts. Its not a mistake, its the way theme works.
By the way for your second question please go to Theme options > style > classic navigation menu (no)
ThanksOK. I think we can live with this. It’s too bad there isn’t a masonry option for that blog display.
Thanks
