    Mehmet,

I was adding some code to a page in html. It was It was script code. It didn’t work so I removed it.

A little bit later and now I canot see some features in wp-admin. Here are some screenshots.

Also the ‘add media’ function from a post or page does not work.

The problem is on multiple browsers and across computers.
I downloaded wordpress again to replace the files. It is still happening.

    Can you advise me?

I apologize for not knowing how to fix it!

    Hi,

Are you saying deactivate all plugins and load up wordpress again?

Mehmet, I researched on the web and here are the steps I followed:

    – Enabled SCRIPT_DEBUG in wp-config.php . This solved a few of the problems.

    – deactivated and deleted the plugins that I had updated the day the problem started. No change. The toolbar functions for the ‘text’ tab in either the ‘post’ or ‘page’ view (when in wp-admin view) are still gone. The ‘insert media’ button is present but does not work. The ability to change the file name of the post or page is not working (it automatically gives it a name instead).

    – uploaded wp 8.1 again. No change.

    – replaced the ‘tinymce folder’ found in the ‘wp-includes folder’. No change.

I have not removed all plugins prior to the day the problem started. Should I? That will disable my site. I need to know why you think it will work.

I am going to post the javascript errors to the wordpress troubleshooting forum .

Any thoughts are appreciated! Thank you.

There is no custom css menu for this theme under directly Appearance. So, it comes from a plugin. Find it, then deactivate.

    Fixed.

After days of work, this is what worked to solve the problem:

    – Enabled SCRIPT_DEBUG in wp-config.php . This solved a few of the problems.

-created a test website and loaded each plugin 1×1 and observing the impacts. This plugin called “live countdown timer” was causing the problem. I took it out and the problem is fixed.

    Thanks for your help.
