Hi there!

Installed Empathy and set up on WordPress. Everything is great.

One problem though: I can’t seem to make the blog page display more than 9 entries. Also, I can’t remove the ‘read more’ button at the bottom of the page.

I tried editing the page in the wordpress settings page. Under the ‘writing’ tab, there is option to set number of blog entries to display. I changed this to 20 and save – but it says it encounters an error and ‘please try again later.’ I’ve tried many times with same result. Also, I can’t set to infinite scroll – it also returns an error and says try again later.

How can I fix this to allow unlimited blog entries and infinite scroll? Any tips greatly appreciated.

Hi John,
The theme doesn’t support the infinite scroll feature by default. You can search for a plugin for this feature and try it again.

HI Serkan,

Thank you for the reply. I took your advice and downloaded and installed Ajax Load More, which is supposed to allow infinite scrolling.

I then went into wordpress settings and increased number of blog items to display (to 20) and wordpress will allow me to save it without error (yay, progress!). But the page still only displays 9 entries and then shows the read more button. Ack!

I’m not an expert in wordpress or associated tech, so any pointers you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am really keen to make this work.

Ha! Success!

I figured out this can be toggled from the appearance menu item in the wordpress menu! I was able to increase blog posts displayed. Now its working the way I want. :)
