Good afternoon,

I was wondering if there was a way to include a slider or text above the blog posts when you set your homepage to show your latest posts?

I would like to include a short blurb about what I do and/or a slider above blog posts.

Is this possible?

Hi, create a slider post like this: http://themes.pixelwars.org/photographer/gallery-slider-sample/

And make it sticky. Then it will be placed to the top your posts in your blog.

Thanks, and could you also tell me how you get the “You May Also Like” related posts at the bottom of a blog post? Is that a feature of the theme or is that just an example of an external widget you can install?

Edit Visibility option of Publish box in the editing screen for the sticky future.

You can activate the Related Posts module from theme options > blog > related posts > yes.
