By default in home page video is playing, how can I change that to default image home page?

Hi Sharon,
Please go to appearance > widgets > empathy template page > edit home page and remove the background video url.
Then go to pages > homepage > upload a featured image and save it.

hi! i also wanted to change the background video to background image – it worked perfectly with your instructions above (but: background image = blog post image – maybe impossible for absolute beginners) ;-)
now, i’ve another problem to this topic … it seems there is a dark layer (i don’t know the right name) in the front page … so all background image colors look in general darker (white = grey, background image colors looking dull …). website link in private content …
