Go to appearance > Widgets > Empathy Template Page and write your icon names example (pe-7s-home) to the widget area.
You can find the icon list in the documentation.

I am going to give you 3 steps to check.
Appearance > Theme options > Style > Classic Navigation Menu (No) and
Go to your homepage > Under page attributes choose Template: Homepage
Go to Settings > Reading > Front Page: Home

Which browser you are using to test it. I tested it on chrome and its working fine. I couldn’t detect any issues.

Thanks for your replying! I’m using the google chrome (mac version). My monitor is viewpoint 1920×1080. I tried all the browsers on my computer. The icons are just not showing.
