I have a question about menu items. Is it possibile to add an menu item that is not a page, i would like to have a link back to my original site from the menu.

Hi @Art;
When you use empathy home page widget, you can not add any custom link to menu because they are generated from the pages you have added to home page, you can add it as a link footer widget area. Btw you can use custom menu structure if you assign a regular page as your homepage and theme options style and enable classic navigation menu and go to appearance > Menus and check Classic Navigation Menu.
