Mindi Demo Import Failed

    Hello,

I am encountering an error while trying to import the Mindi demo, and I am unable to determine the cause.

I have carefully followed the Sample/Data documentation, and everything appears to be set up correctly.

My server environment meets all the technical requirements:

    WordPress Version: 6.8.2

    MySQL Version: 8.4.5-5

    PHP Version: 8.4.10 (Supports 64-bit)

    PHP SAPI: fpm-fcgi

    PHP Max Input Vars: 16000

    PHP Time Limit: 165

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M

    Max Input Time: -1

    Upload Max Filesize: 128M

    Post Max Size: 130M

    cURL Version: 7.64.0 OpenSSL/1.1.1n

    Error Log: https://sophrologie-phare-enfant.fr/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/log_file_2025-09-18__09-02-33.txt

I have tried several troubleshooting steps without success: I have cleared the database, reinstalled the theme and the demo multiple times, and even attempted a manual import of the XML files.

I consistently receive an error that seems to only affect certain files, primarily media files. I cannot understand the origin of this issue.

Could you please assist me with the demo import?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Guillaume,

Thank you for sharing the full error log. I reviewed it, and I can see that:

The demo content, widgets, and customizer settings were successfully imported.

The errors only appear when importing media files (images, SVGs, placeholders, etc.).

This usually happens when the server limits are not high enough to process multiple file imports. Comparing your server setup with our requirements, I noticed:

PHP Time Limit: 165 (required: 300)

PHP Memory Limit: 512M (required: 1024M)

Max Input Time: -1 (required: 1500)

πŸ‘‰ Could you please ask your hosting provider to raise these values to at least the required levels?

    PHP Time Limit: 300

    PHP Memory Limit: 1024M

    Max Input Time: 1500

After updating, please try the demo import again.

    Best regards,
    Serkan

    Hi Serkan,
Thank you for taking the time to look into this and for your detailed analysis.
I suspected the server limitations might be the issue. The site is hosted on a shared server with OVH, which unfortunately restricts the PHP memory limit to 512M, and I am unable to increase it to the recommended 1024M.
While I understand these are your theme’s requirements, a 512M limit is generally more than sufficient for most WordPress theme and demo imports. This might be valuable feedback for your team, as these high requirements could be a barrier for users on common shared hosting plans.
I had also previously attempted the alternative import methods without success. Given these constraints, I’ve decided to choose another theme for this project.
Thank you again for your time and assistance.
    Best regards,
    Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume,

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I completely understand your point regarding the memory limit on shared hosting β€” you are absolutely right that 512M is common for many providers.

While the recommended values ensure the smoothest import, there are still a few alternatives we can try together so you can keep using the theme without needing to upgrade your hosting:

Import Without Media – The demo content, widgets, and settings are already in place. We can skip the media files during import and then upload the necessary images manually.

Local Import & Migration – Another option is to install the theme on a local environment (with higher limits), import the demo there successfully, and then migrate the site to your OVH server.

Step-by-Step Import – Instead of importing everything at once, we can split the demo files (content, widgets, customizer, media) and import them separately to reduce server load.

This way, you don’t need to change your hosting plan, and you can still achieve the exact same demo layout.
    Best regards,
    Serkan
