Can you deactivate all your plugin and try it again.Your host may have disabled the mail() function. It must be enabled on your server. If still you have the same problem, you can use Ninja Forms alternatively instead of the default contact form.

@serkan, thanks for the answer. The problem seems to be that I have to have from header set because of antispam. What would be the best way to insert hidden from field to the contact form?

You can contact with your server people. This issue is not related with the default theme.

what do you mean? I have used contact form from example when I leave as it is the email header from is set to server@mydomain which is not correct and I need to change that. Where should I change it?

Hi, go to Appearance > Editor and select “Theme Functions (functions.php)” on the right hand side and search for this line;

$sender_domain = 'server@' . $site_url;

and change it to this;

$sender_domain = 'server@yourdomain.com';
