as the static page the home button and social icons do not appear?

You have a url mistake over there.

Go to portfolio and edit permalinks.
Btw go to appearance > widgets and check cv-card template page’s title and select a page name should be the same “portfolio”.
And menu structure url should be like that. #/portfolio Be sure that all the same :)

it instead saves the permalink to: http://vonmozar.com/portfolioignorance-kills-2

Hi, Have you tried the deactivated all your plugins from wp admin panel and try it again.
Download the latest version of the theme and start with a fresh copy installation of the theme

Hi, I’ve done the above – still no change – are you sure that permalink accepts the hashtag and forward slash?

Also am I changing the permalink correctly? I go to pages, select edit of the page that I want to change permalink. Then select edit next of the permalink URL. Then enter http://vonmozar.com/#/portfolio/ignorance-kills-2?

i guess you have set that page as static homepage? that’s why it doesn’t have “home” link, as the page itself is the homepage now.
