Problems installing theme

I want to install the theme as it appears on the demo page (https://preview.themeforest.net/item/bookcard-wp-responsive-3d-folded-vcard/full_screen_preview/4703989), including all images. I will customize it later, but first I want to have the demo data in place. When I upload it according to the manual (https://themes.pixelwars.org/doc/bookcard/#introduction), I get the following error message during upload.

Can you tell me what is going wrong?

In addition, the homepage is also different from the demo; I am missing the header text.

    Hi there,
    Thanks for the details.
Those “[ERROR] Failed to import … (Media)” messages typically mean the demo XML content starts importing, but your server can’t download the demo media files during the process (timeouts/limits/remote file access). When the media import fails, it’s also normal to see parts of the demo (like the homepage header text/sections) not matching.
Please revise your server/PHP settings according to our system requirements topic and then run the demo import again:
    https://www.pixelwars.org/forums/topic/system-requirements-for-wordpress-themes/
After applying those recommended values (memory limit, execution time, upload limits, etc.), the demo import should complete properly and your homepage will match the demo much more closely.
If it still fails after updating the requirements, please share your hosting provider, PHP version, and the full import log, and we’ll advise the next step.
    Best regards,
    Serkan

    Hi Serkan,

    Thank you for your reply.

PHP was still running on an outdated version, 7.1. This has been converted to 8.4. Unfortunately, I am still unable to import the data.

Based on the requirements you have specified, I can see that my current web hosting is insufficient (web host is Strato). After contacting my hosting provider, they said the following:

I would like to inform you that unfortunately the data in your WordPress environment cannot be changed.
I understand that this is not the answer you were hoping for.
The reason why these changes cannot be made is that certain settings or configurations within the WordPress environment are fixed and cannot simply be changed via our system.
I would like to point out that STRATO does not offer support for the WordPress environment itself. For further support or alternative solutions, please visit the official WordPress website: http://www.wordpress.org

Can this be changed via WordPress itself, or is it advisable to move my domain?

Could these settings be causing the problem of not being able to upload?

    Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to us and for checking this with your hosting provider.
Unfortunately, this isn’t something that can be fixed from inside WordPress. The limits we mention (PHP memory, execution time, remote file access, etc.) are controlled at the server/hosting level, and if the host doesn’t allow changing them, WordPress itself can’t override those restrictions.
Yes — these limitations are very likely the reason why the demo import can’t complete properly. When the importer can’t download the demo media files, images are skipped, and it’s also normal for parts of the homepage (like the header text or sections) to appear different or missing.
At this point, you have two practical options:
Move the site to a different hosting provider that meets the system requirements and allows adjusting PHP settings. Once that’s done, you can run the demo import again and it should work as expected.
Stay on your current hosting, import the demo without media, and then add the images and some demo content manually. This works, but it does require extra setup and won’t be a full one-click demo import.
So to summarize: this can’t be resolved via WordPress settings, and the server limits you mentioned are indeed causing the issue. If having the demo exactly as shown is important, switching hosting would be the recommended solution.

Let us know how you’d like to proceed or if you need any guidance before re-importing.
    Best regards,
    Serkan
