It is kind of possible.
Please go to Appearance > Portfolio > Create a new one
You can choose standard format and paste the video url or upload it. But you should set a featured image for the video.

Is it possible to upload a video in a post in blog? At the moment I tried it but the video is only a link, you would need to click the link and be redirected to another page… I would like the video show on the blog post directly. Is this possible?

I’ve figured out how to add a video onto the blog post, but now I’m wondering why the sound was taken away? In my media library the sound of the video is still there but once in the blog post it doesn’t play the audio..

Also, is it possible for the video to have a screenshot instead of a black preview?

Hi , Could you please switch of the theme to wordpress default and test the video. Then we can understand is there any problem with the theme.

I have switched my theme to the wordpress Twenty Sixteen theme. The video still looks the same though, there is no preview, only a black screen with the play button.

Kindly let me know if there’s anything I should do about this.

If the WordPress twenty sixteen theme can not play your video, which means it is related to your video, not the theme. Please check your video’s codec settings. When you convert your video some problem is occurring. Please encode your video again.
