hi,
I have no idea what happened but all of a sudden my site is completely different. The home page looks nothing like I’ve designed it to look and it says widgetized sidebar.
Please see here: http://www.elizabethsensky.com/
Please let me know ASAP how to fix this and get it back to the normal design and layout. I have no idea what went wrong and I can’t seem to find “Theme Options” on my backend anymore either.
Thank you,
Elizabeth
For more info, all I did was go to customizer and I saw that my site had been somehow changed to this new layout, which I see from your webpage appears to be the new layout for this theme. Is there a way to revert back to how my site was before? I apologize for the two messages but this is urgent as this is where I direct my clients and followers on a daily basis.
Any help is much appreciated.
Hi @Elizabeth;
Could you please deactivated all your plugin and try it again. It still don’t get the result, download the latest theme package from your ThemeForest account.
ThanksCurrently all of my widgets are deactivated and in a section called “Inactive Sidebar” in the section where the activated widgets should be is a bar with nothing in it that says “widgetizied sidebar”
if I re-download the theme package will I lose all of the changes in my custom css section? Those changes took months to implement and I have no idea what they all are at this point. I want to avoid this at all costs.
sorry I see you said plugins, not widgets. Will try deactivating
Tried deactivating all of the plugins to no avail, changed nothing.
Hi Elizabeth;
I thought you did a lot of customization on it, that is why i was a bit surprised but when i inspect your data source code; it is not our theme. It is not our photographer theme..This is so strange. I see now that it is a different photographer theme which I never downloaded or installed. I’ve always had your photographer theme. I have no clue how this one appeared on my website. Do you have any idea how this could happen without installing a theme yourself? I’m very confused and to be honest disturbed right now….
Hi @Elizabeth;
Read How to Update the theme section in the documentation.
Don’t worry, your content will not be lost. Download a fresh copy of the theme.

We did fix it on 2nd April but you didn’t updated your theme never i guess.
There is a free theme which name is photographer and wordpress is confusion on it .I had to reinstall and am currently tweaking it back to its original state. So to avoid this in the future, you think I just need to make sure it is updated at all times?
Thanks,
Elizabeth
One more thing, within the customize section I no longer see a place for “typography” where I can change font sizes and appearances…any idea why that disappeared? It was just there a second ago. It appears I have a WordPress ghost..
Hi @Elizabeth;
Please deactivated all your plugin and try it again.
ThanksHi Serkan,
I am wondering why the instagram photos on my blog sidebar is no longer visible.. I checked the settings in my blog sidebar and the social feed content for instagram still has 9 items to show but on my blog site those 9 items do not appear. It used to be there and I’ve checked using Safari and Firefox and they don’t appear in both anymore. The only thing visible is the text “Instagram @janemandasee” but the pictures are not there.
Would you happen to know why it is like this?
Hi,
I would like to add an additional problem, the galleries in my pages are no longer visible too. If you click on “Food” and “Travel” on my menu the pages appear empty. It used to have perfect galleries before. When I edit the said pages the galleries still appear in the media box, but when you click on the preview they’re not there. Now I’ve tried even on my mobile phone the pictures do not appear. Neither on Safari nor on Firefox.
Looking forward to hearing from your team.
Hi janeamandasee,
Please deactivate all your plugin and try it again. 3rd party plugin looks like messing your galleries. We will check the Instagram issue and fix it with the next update. Thanks for the feedback.Hi Serkan,
I’ve deactivated my plugins and found out it’s because of a Social plugin, for social media buttons. Once I deactivated it the photos in my galleries appeared again. Does this mean I’ll never be able to use the social plugin? Is it possible to remove the social buttons only for the “Travel” and “Food” pages but keep them on the blog posts?
Thanks again and do let me know how we can fix the instagram issue once we’ve found a solution.
Have a great weekend!
Hi janeamandasee,
I would recommend you to search another social plugin. We can hide social plugin for those pages but still it won’t solve your issue. Because it will hide the codes inside the pages.
I will let you know for instagram issue.
ThanksHi all, instagram has disabled the old api : v1, and so the instagram widget is not working anymore without access token, but there is a better instagram widget called “WP Instagram Widget” widget which is super easy to use and works perfect, you don’t need to create any access token, so we decided to support this plugin and remove the current instagram social feed widget from the theme. In the next version the same style will apply to the new widget, but until the release of the next update you can use this custom css code to make it look good;
/* instagram widget custom css */ .null-instagram-feed ul { padding: 0; margin: 0; overflow: auto; } .null-instagram-feed ul li { width: 33.33%; float: left; padding-right: 5px; }and the plugin url is
