when I try to create a Footer template in Elementor I get an error. “the preview could not be loaded” with generic reason. I do not get this error message when trying to edit any other Elementor templates such as Home Page or Single Post Template.
If I then go into Safe Mode, the footer template editor will successfully load. I can then create and edit the footer template. However when I make the footer template active, I then get this “preview could not be loaded” error on all my Elementor pages and it will not go away until I deactivate the footer template.
How can I resolve the conflict that the footer template causes with Efor theme? I want to be able to use an Elementor footer across my site.
Hi, You can customize your own footer via elementor as well.
https://elementor.com/help/footer-site-part/
Another plugin may be causing a conflict. So please deactivate your third party plugins. This issue can also be due to the firewall of your server, such as mod_security, so this has to be checked with your hosting company. Another plugin may be causing a conflict.
ThanksThanks. I have followed those instructions on the link and the elementor debugging guide / safe mode guide.
I have determined it is not a plugin or hosting. It seems to be an issue with your theme, or specifically the footer template module in relation to your theme.
I have attached a Loom video in the Private Content area that shows all of this in detail as well as numerous ways of testing and eliminating variables. However to summarize steps to repeat:
1. Deactivate All Plugins except for Elementor and Elementor Pro
2. Try to create a new footer template in Theme Builder
3. Press “Edit” to start customizing the footer template
4. Recieve Error
5. Activate Safe Mode
6. Repeat step 3
7. No Error
8. Add any content to footer template
9. press publish
10. Add conditions to make active on entire site
11. Save
12. Attempt to edit any other page with elementor
13. recieve error
14. go back to footer template you enabled and disable
15. other elementor page editors work fine again
16. disable safe mode and Reactivate all plugins
17. everything still works fine; as long as an elementor footer template is not activeHi,
I will forward this topic to our developer and I will keep you updated.
Btw, could you please provide me your wp admin details via our private content box, below?
ThanksHI! Seems I have same issue. Did developers found solution for that?
Hi,
Can you also write your wordpress and php versions?
ThanksHi there, I also have these issues. None of the Elementor Footer templates are available to be edited. I even upgrade to Elementor PRO thought that this will help me. However, after I installed the plugin and tried editing I was getting same errors as mentioned above.
I also reported this to ELementor support as it was breaking my site and even removing the admin panel from the WP environment.
Hi, I’m currently improving the theme and will release an update in a week. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi, we have released an update with the fix, you can update your theme now.
Don’t forget to clear your cache.
Thanks
