Is it possible to set the homepage http://www.domain.com to Homepage Alternative and have a http://www.domain.com/blog to show default home layout?

I want to seperate my blog posts at mydomain.com/blog/postname and have mydomain.com/blog show all blog posts with the default layout while mydomain.com shows alternative homepage layout.

I was just about to ask the same question. This is the only thing preventing me from making my site available online.

– Install WordPress to domain.com,

– Install the theme,

– Create a new page to make Homepage Alternative,

– Create a new page for the blog,

– Go to WP Admin > Settings > Reading,

– Select Homepage and Blog page then save,

– Go to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks,

– Select Custom Structure option and edit its input like this: /blog/%postname%/
