I have used the “home” template for a page. It shows a static description and an overview of recent blog posts. This page is marked as static startpage in the Reading settings.
I would like to add a menu Blog that displays all the recent posts but without any reference to a category. Currently the only way to do this is to select a category in the Menu settings.

Your suggestion does not work entirely because the posts overview from a menu item Blog shows a H1 description because of cat-sidebar.php. I changed this to:

Besides that, there is IMO a bug in the Archives page: instead of showing the name of the month in the header, it shows the date of the last post of that month… In the example it should say “Archief datum -> juli 2013′ instead of ‘Archief datum -> 04/07/2013’.
