Blog customisation

    Hello

I’d like to know how to change the template of the blog posts page and individual blog posts please? I imported the Debra theme initially but I’d like to use the Judy template for the blog posts page and the Stefan template for the individual posts.

It doesn’t seem to be as straight-forward as importing the templates as I need them, as I’ve done with the home/start here pages. There also doesn’t seem to be an option to edit the blog post page with Elementor.

    Thanks
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
You can go to appearance > customize > blog and single posts > you can customize the blog and single posts page here.
    Thanks

I’ve since worked out that in order to customise this I needed to do it within the native WordPress settings, and I’ve managed to style the pages how I’d like. Apart from the hero slider, how do I add this?

What I’m struggling with is how to add a “must read” section and “free course” image into the sidebar, as displayed in the Judy and Stefan demos. Could you please advise how I add these?

I’d also like to know how to change the sidebar heading styles.

    Hi,
Apart from our demo settings, you can customize the blog page with elementor as well.
    https://elementor.com/blog/create-blog-page-wordpress
    You need to activate top 10 plugin and drag and drop it to the blog sidebar widget. Also you need to use image widget for the free course section. Please check the related image;

    Thanks

Thanks Serkan! I figured the course image was just an image but I couldn’t find it in the media library to double check.

The link you provided doesn’t mention anything about the hero slider https://ibb.co/c6QmJ5t or the sidebar title styles. Could you please point me in the right direction for these?

Also, when I use the top 10 plugin it’s displaying the images as ovals rather than circles https://ibb.co/MhBNcGg, any idea why this is? I’ve tried to manually change the height within the widget but it doesn’t do anything.

I figured out the sidebar title styles :)

I also figured out the featured area slider, so it’s only the sidebar circles I need help with now.

    Hi,
Can you run the regenerate thumbnails plugin once.

I just cleared your cache and it looks okay now.

Oh great, thank you! Did you do that within WordPress or just on your local browser?

    Hi,
I just done it in your admin panel. Clicked on the clear cache button at the top of your admin panel.
    Thanks

Hey Serkan, I noticed that I changed the sidebar and now the thumbnails have returned to the oval shape. I regenerated the thumbnails and cleared the cache but it hasn’t updated them to circles. Could you take another look please?

    Hi,
I guess it is related to siteground optimizer plugin. You can use an alternative cache plugin instead of it. I just cleared your cache and it is fixed.
W3 total cache might be an alternative plugin.
    Thanks

So how did you clear the cache this time? Did you not use the “Purge SG Cache” button at the top of the dashboard? Will I have to clear the cache every time I make an update to the sidebar?

    Hi,
Yes i used the purge sg cache button. Actually you should not need to but your cache plugin is not working well. So I recommended you to use the alternative cache plugin.
    Thanks

I installed the W3 total cache plugin but I noticed the shapes are still oval. Should I deactivate the other plugin?

    Hi,
Can you deactivate all your third party plugins and try it again?
I deactivated them and cleared your cache and it is fixed. One of your plugin is conflicting with the theme and my opinion is siteground plugin.
    Thanks

    Yep, that worked. Thanks Serkan.

You are welcome :) We’d be very happy if you can spare a minute to rate the theme on ThemeForest. Your feedback will boost our motivation and help us to work harder on future updates.
