Go to Appearance > Editor > format-standard.php

– remove the line:

<?php echo __( 'on', 'read' ); ?> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php the_time(); ?>" rel="bookmark"><time class="entry-date" datetime="2012-11-09T23:15:57+00:00"><?php echo get_the_date(); ?></time></a>
