    Hello!
    I would need to modify the content of the blog posts page.

    The general page is showing too many option for my taste on the right hand pane, eg most recent, the archives month/year, authors, etc.

    Where can I choose which items to show on the right hand on my blog posts -page?

    You can go to appearance > widgets > blog sidebar and customize your sidebar.
