Running the Bloggy theme

I love everything about this theme, but the portfolio page is loading the images way too slow. I’ve optimized the images, played around with the settings in the theme options and nothing makes it speed up.

Please advise as to how I can speed up this page’s load time.

Sir, you are a genius! That brought the load time of the portfolio page from about 25 seconds to less than 3 seconds. Awesome solution.
